FBC’s 2025 In-Service Training Fosters Excellence, Healing, and Christ-Centered Service
FBC concluded a three-day In-Service Training (INSET) from July 28 to 30, 2025, empowering its faculty and staff through academic enrichment, spiritual renewal, and professional alignment for the coming academic year.
On the first day, Dr. Eleanor F. Castro urged educators to move beyond the limiting idea of a “mediocre student” and embrace the reality of multiple intelligences. She challenged participants to design assessment tools that reflect the diverse ways students learn, calling for a more inclusive and effective approach to evaluating student performance.
Dr. Enrique G. Oracion provided a compelling discussion on service-learning as an integrative strategy for accomplishing the tri-fold functions of higher education: instruction, research, and extension. He emphasized the need for academic activities that not only meet curricular requirements but also create real-life impact in communities—learning that transforms both student and society.
On the second day, Pastor Donne Ray Lagrada led the participants in a heartfelt spiritual retreat. He emphasized that genuine kindness stems from personal healing, encouraging everyone to confront their inner wounds and childhood traumas. His message reminded the FBC community that everyone carries invisible burdens, and true compassion begins with understanding and grace.
The final day focused on non-teaching personnel and the role of everyday service in reflecting Christ’s love. Dr. Connie M. Ceballos emphasized that excellence in FBC is never detached from faith. “Let us aspire that in every client we deal with, we let them see Christ through us,” she declared, affirming that Christian service is both the spirit and standard of institutional excellence.
The Human Resource and Development Office, as the lead facilitator of the INSET, extends its heartfelt gratitude to the College Administration for its unwavering support and to all employees for their active participation and commitment. The unity, enthusiasm, and openness shown throughout the training reflect FBC’s enduring pursuit of excellence—for God’s glory and for the flourishing of its people.
As the school year opens, Fellowship Baptist College rises renewed: equipped intellectually, grounded spiritually, and ready to serve with excellence and compassion.
